The new year is upon us and many have made their New Years resolutions. Many will try to lose weight, others may quit one thing or the other, some may even promise to attend church, and others will promise to be good. Each are trying to turn over a new leaf, and most will fail to accomplish their goal.
Why do people fail their New Years resolutions? Because they are trying to change the old nature and what they need is a new nature. The old nature is evil and corrupt and their is a place reserved in hell for all those that live in the old nature. The Bible says that unless we are born again we are condemned and will die in our sins and spend eternity in hell. But those that repent and believe in Jesus are born into a new life with a new nature and will live forever with Jesus in heaven. John 3:15-21 says, "That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men love darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God."
Take a look at the first video below (A Lesson from the Moment of Truth) and see if you are better then the woman on the TV show. Then continue to watch and take the test to see just how good you are and if you measure up to God's standards. If you don't measure up, we pray that you will Repent (turn from you sins) and Believe in Jesus Christ today.
